Sustainability

Contribution to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were unanimously adopted at a UN Summit in September 2015. The SDGs, to be achieved by 2030, build on the achievements of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) adopted in 2000 with the aim of realizing a better global society, and aim to achieve 17 international goals and 169 targets (232 indicators) related to poverty, inequality, education, the environment, and other issues not only in emerging countries but also in developed countries and all countries and regions.
Based on the ideas set forth in the Corporate Philosophy (Corporate Mind in Mind), the Suncall Group considers provision of products and services that meet customer needs, creation of new products through development, and execution of sound business activities to be the basis of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), and promotes activities with the aim of achieving this throughout the Group.

The Suncall Group was one of the first companies to introduce environmentally friendly production lines (lead-free fluidized bed heat treatment equipment and pickling line washing). It has been involved in the creation and production of parts for EVs and has also developed products in the medical field (participation in the development and production of walking assistance robots) and in improving the local environment (a bamboo charcoal production method that reduces CO₂ emissions as a measure against bamboo damage).

Through these business activities, we hope to contribute to the 17 goals of the SDGs.

At the same time, through ISO 14001 promotion activities, we continuously assess and manage the various impacts and risks that the Suncall Group’s business activities pose to the global environment and human society, and disclose information as appropriate.

In addition to this, we aim to contribute to the SDGs through the Suncall Group’s technologies, products, and services, as well as through various partnerships.
