Suncall was established in 1943 at its present location nestled in the foothills of the Arashiyama area in Kyoto for the purpose of manufacturing high-quality valve spring steel for airplane engines.
From that day forward, we have worked toward excellence in the manufacture of technology-intensive precision products, guided by a fundamental ideal of contributing to society and solving our customers’ problems through the functionality of the Fine Precision Products we produce.
Suncall’s precision plastic metal processing technology, which had been refined and developed since the time of the company’s foundation, has now grown into the production of high-precision shaped wire, which contributes to natural resource conservation, and has been integrated with the development of shaped dies and super-precision molding technology. Suncall is a unique, integrated automotive parts maker that has been manufacturing springs and other components from materials through processing and assembly, owing to the technology used to design elastic components such as springs.
Suncall has also paid attention to the rapid development of the electronic information and communications sector since its early stages, applying engineering plastic and fine ceramics processing technology to high-precision plastic metal processing and integrated them with cleaning technology, interfacial technology and precision assembly technology. We are supplying key components, such as mass storage devices (hard disk drives), printers (copy machines, LBPs, and ink-jet printers), and optical communications equipment, supporting today’s advanced information society.

We are now devoting all our energy to the development of diversified products which combine high-precision products, electronic devices, and optical devices in order to anticipate and respond to the advanced technologies soon to be ubiquitous in the coming age.
